Larry: "Bald asshole"? That's a hate crime. We consider ourselves to be a group.

Police Officer: I'm bald, and I'm not offended.

Larry: With all due respect, Officer Berg, you are not bald. You've chosen to shave your hair and that's a look you're cultivating in order to look fashionable, but we don't really consider you part of the bald community... with all due respect.

though, it may be true that some people people may shave their head to look fashionable, many athletes shave their head to disguise their male-pattern baldness.

being the first notable athlete to take part in this deception, jordan came out of north carolina with a full head of hair. jordan even spent his first two seasons with the bulls with hair and even participated in the 1985 slam dunk contest with hair. but in his 3rd season jordan shocked the world by coming out with the bald look. everybody applauded him for making the look fashionable and soon proud and gifted athletes like clyde drexler and george garvin became a dying breed. but little did the public know his airness was concealing something he was ashamed about - his male pattern baldness. the look became iconic and paved the way for other athletes to cover up their lack of hair. athletes looking to keep their youthful look and still be fashionable, began shaving their heads at the first sign of baldness. today athletes don't dare hit the hardwood with the horseshoe look. so thanks to jordan's pride, other's cannot be proud of their baldness.
